Pilleyan accused of Pararajasingham murder ....

alleged to be connected to Raviraj and Ekneligoda murders too!

Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pilleyan admitted during interrogation by the CID that he maintained close

relationships with certain powerful people in the past regime and that he went into action on their knowledge in certain circumstances, police sources say.

Pilleyan was taken into police custody over the murder of former MP Mr. Joseph Pararajasingham and by now his name is attached to two other investigations, the same sources further reveal. The instance where his name is connected in investigations is the killing of MP Raviraj and Media reporter Prageeth Ekneligoda.

A senior police officer mentioned that investigations are in progress to ascertain whether the weapon used in the murder of MP Raviraj was given to the main suspect in that crime and if Pilleyan was connected to it. In the same way, police investigations are underway to confirm whether Mr. Prageeth Ekneligoda the media person after being subjected to interrogation at Giritale Camp was subsequently taken to an inconspicuous army camp in the Eastern Province under the directions of Pilleyan.

In the meantime a stalwart of the T.M.V.P. which Party was in action headed by Pilleyan was taken into custody last Friday over two murders.
