When Anura took over the ministry his wife and daughter too had come

When the former general secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Anura Priyadarshana Yapa
assumed work at the ministry of Disaster management as the Minister in charge his wife and daughter to had come to his ministry.

Addressing the media the new Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa emphasised the need to be vigilant in the event of any disaster  and in such an occasion his ministry would have to work closely with several other departments to meet the requirements of disaster management..

For appointing him to the position of a cabinet Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa had thanked the Prime Minister and the President.
