The Six who were dropped from the previous cabinet

The six who were deprived of cabinet portfolios held in the previous government

In the 100 day national government there were a number of UPFA Ministers. Out of them 06 of them

had not been elected as Cabinet ministers in the new national government formed. There are:

AHM Faucy, Sarath Amunugama, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Vijith Wijayamuni Soysa, Janaka Bandara Tennakoon and Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.

Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and Janaka Bandara Tennakoon had resigned from the posts of Ministers a few weeks before the election.

As six more Members of Parliament are to be sworn in on the 09th instant AHM Faucy,Sarath Amunugama,Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena,Vijith Wijithamuni Soysa and Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena are staying in anticipating in obtaining Ministerial portfolios it is learnt.
