The story on Thriposha as poisonous is a hoax

Owing to a hoax rumour that has been spread that Thriposha is poisonous has made the public panic.However this has

been disproved by the coordinator to the director in charge monitoring on Thriposha nutritious food  programme Dr Shanthi Gunawardena has confirmed.It has been said that Thriposha does not contain any poisonous substances harmful to health of human beings.

This hoax information which has been published in newspaper had caused a lot of mothers to get alarmed and had been feared unnecessary. This information has been unfair to those mothers who had been feeding Thriposha to their children.
