Seya receives a letter for an interview for admission to a school

The other day Seya Sadewmini  of Gampaha Kotadeniyawa had to meet with an unfortunate and unexpected death a few days before her 5th birthday.Her murder had shocked the whole country.

As her school going age had been reached her parents had made an application for admitting her to a school from next year. For this application a letter had been received from Minuwangoda ,Mellawagedera Roman catholic College for her to be present for an interview.

It is an emotional event that a letter with such information has been received a few days after her death.This letter that was sent from the school authorities cannot be considered as an offence when considered from a legal point of view.As this was in response to the application her parents had made.

It is reported that a special meeting between the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and the American President Barak Obama is planned for the end of this month.

This information has been divulged by the officials of the American embassy in Sri Lanka. It is reported that President Maithripala Sirisena is due to visit New York city at the end of this month to attend the mega summit of  world International organisations. Parallel to his visit President Maithripala Sirisena is to meet the President Barak Obama after attending to this summit.

It is reported that during his meeting ourPresident is hoping to discuss with the American counterpart on the issues discussed at the annual United Nations Human Rights commission sessions and also what actions that were proposed to us to commence in respect of the local mechanism recommended.
