Roshan Mahanama has announced his quitting from ICC match referee post



Roshan Mahanama opts to resign from the position in the elite panel of ICC match referee

ICC match referee in the Elite panel Roshan Mahanama since the year 2004 has intimated to the International Cricket council that he would resign from his post at the end of the year 2015.


Former Sri Lankan cricketer Roshan Mahanama has served a period of 12 years a  ICC match referee.

In his letter of resignation to the ICC he had stated the reasons as he needs to be more with his family and to pay more attention to his own business interests. In this regard he has sought the permission of the ICC.

Accordingly in his message it is stated that permission has been granted by the International cricket council for his request.

Roshan Mahanama after appointed as a ICC match referee has  refereed 58 Test ,222 ODI's and 35, T 20/20 International matches.
