Was not afforded the opportunity to work for Matara district - Sanath
The other day former deputy Minister Sanath Jayasuriya joined with Sagala Ratnayake and
became a member of the United National party. Sanath had this to say:
He was not afforded the opportunity to work for the people of Matara and because of it he lived in frustration. He reiterated that depriving the opportunity for him to work for the people in the Matara district really frustrated him.
People in the Matara district needs a good politician to serve them.I left the United Peoples Freedom Alliance purely for that reason.
During the past five years He had served the people to the maximum to his ability. He had no intention of fooling the people again by seeking nominations. Members should be elected to the parliament irrespective of colour or party and should be honest people.
It is pointless sending those who pilfer government money to parliament. They should essentially serve the people honestly he added.
