United National Party could form a government on the own -Kabeer Hashim:

The general secretary of the United National party Kabeer Hashim had said that without the SLFP the UNP has an opportunity to form a government. In this regard if the SLFP is

against the forming of a national government the UNP would go ahead had said at a media briefing held after a meeting held in a mosque.

He had added that the support of the JVP and the TNA could be obtained to get the majority of 113 votes to form a stable government.

The problem faced is with regard to the ministerial portfolios that cannot be divided to satisfy the needs of the SLFP according to the MoU already signed.
