The JVP Gampaha district candidate for the general election who was elected to parliament

 the media spokesman and Board member of the JVP Vijitha Herath and the was also against the concept of the national government and the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the SLFP and the UNP.

He had expressed that this MoU signed was for nothing else but to divide the privileges and perks between their members.

The other reason was to cover up the charges of the members on both sides that are pending and to safe guard both parties.

He had expressed that the People who voted for the candidates not to allow the formation of a national government.. Hence it is very unfair by the voters perspective.

In this contest the need for such a national government is not the need of the hour

Vijitha Herath also reiterated that before the election there were rumours that the UNP and JVP had signed secret agreements. The formation of a national government could  not be a rumour as such people had predicted.
