The Golden Key case ends after 06 years

The cases filed by the Golden Key depositors had dragged on for a period of 06 long years.

With the intervention of the  Ministry of Finance and the cabinet the cases were able to be withdrawn by all the deposit holders of the Golden Key Company.

The officials of the Ministry of Finance  had negotiated with the depositors that the government via a cabinet paper had decided to pay the defaulted depositors a sum equivalent to 41% of the total deposits which the depositors had held as there was no other option had agreed to accept.

Accordingly the Supreme court had agreed to this compromise that had taken place between the golden key depositors and the Ministry of Finance.
