Shirani’s son Shaveen fetches 149 votes

The son of former Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake, Shaveen Bandaranayake Kariyawasam who contested under the Independent
group Number 09 had fetched 149 votes at the concluded general election concluded on the 17th.

The other day Shaveen came to the limelight when he had added an interesting comment to Namal Rajapaksa’s Face Book. He had made views that he may come into politics if the political culture in Sri Lanka would at least come somewhat near to those in developed countries.

With the proposed good governance promises made he may have prompted to make a political appearance to begin with under an Independent party.

However he and his members had not made any valiant effort with a winning motive as their activities were below par in regard to publicity.
