Nirupama unlikely to get a seat in parliament

At this general election Nirupama Rajapaksa had contested under the United Peoples Freedom Alliance from the Hambanthota district.

According to the number of votes polled in the Hambanthota district only 04 seats in the parliament is allocated the UPFA.

It is now learnt that from the preferential votes polled that Chamal Rajapaksa,Namal Rajapaksa,Mahinda Amaraweera and DV Upul’s son DV Chanaka have polled more preferential votes than Nirupama Rajapaksa. Hence she may not get an opportunity of making to the parliament.
