Joseph Michael, Royce and Priyashantha out from UNP's Gampaha district

Like in several districts even in the Gampaha district owing to very stiff competition amongst the candidates of the United National Party several candidates who had even held ministerial positions
and taken a lot of interest in the activities of the Gampaha district from the UNP had been eliminated when the preferential votes were counted.
