Finger print essential  when Passport is issued from 10th

From the 10th instant for all new passports that are to be issued would need the owners finger prints on it.

This is to make the international to have more faith in our passport holders and to give it more recognition was stated by the Controller of Immigration and emigrations Nihal Ranasinghe.

It has been notified that all new passports would have the finger prints of the applicants which are to be issued from the 10th instant.This exercise is to be commenced for Sri Lanka to be in par with other developing countries.This was also added by the controller of Immigration and emigration.

It has also been said that those who obtain and make applications before the 10th instant would not require this finger print exercise.
