THE SECRETARY CONTESTS FROM PA WHILE THE MINISTER OF MEDIA CONTESTS FROM UNP

A very rare incident in politics has been reported.  The minister of media and mass communication

and the secretary of the same ministry are contesting for the forthcoming election representing two parties.

While the minister of media Gayantha Karunatilake is contesting for Galle in UNP, the secretary Karunaratne Paranavithana is contesting for Ratnapura representing the United Peoples Freedom Alliance.
