“Temple Trees” deployed for political gains - Transparency International

The National coordinator to the Transparency International Sri Lanka which looks into the protection of common public properties  Shan Wijetunga has reported to the Elections Commissioner that the

premises of the Temple Trees has been deployed by the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe for various meetings and other activities connected to the forthcoming general election.

This complaint has been made by many people to the Transparency International Sri Lanka. It has been reported that the United National Peramuna party has intentions of having discussions and meetings with other political parties  at Temple Trees before the general election to obtain political mileage. The national coordinator of the Transparency International Sri Lanka had  called for a media briefing on the 17th instant had divulged this news.
