Somawansa to contest under the ‘diamond’ symbol

It has been reported that the former leader of Peoples Liberation

Front Somawansa Amarasinghe who left the party and formed a new party termed the 'Janatha Sevaka Paksaya’ has decided to join with new Eksath Yahapalana Jathika Peramuna which is led by Champika Ranawaka under the symbol of the “diamond”, to contest for the forthcoming election.

It has been explained that the ambition of this new party is to be the 3rd political power force of the country and to beat the new Mahinda Rajapaksa party repeating the 08th January debacle of Mahinda Rajapaksa regime.
