Yesterday afternoon Minister of Aviation Arjuna Ranatunga after he and four others were

scrapped from the membership of the Sri Lanka Freedom party after deciding to contest from the United National front, addressing a meeting in the Gongithota area in Mahara had this to express:

“I came to know via telephone call that I was scrapped from the membership of the Sri Lanka Freedom party. I  do not feel sorry or sad over it. AS to remain in such a Sri Lanka Freedom party is something to feel sad about.

If Susil Premajayanth and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa could sign for those who are drug pedlars, women rapists, casino people, murderers, ethanol importers, and by going to the prison to get nominations signed removal of my name from the list of Members is something I am happy about my name being scrapped. What is inside the party in not principles of Bandaranaike but corrupt principles” he had added.
