President to Maldives for National Day celebrations
President Maithripala Sirisena has been cordially invited to the republic of Maldives in connection with their 50th National day celebrations as the special guest.
He is to leave Sri Lanka on Sunday the 26th instant and would remain in Maldives for a period of two days. President Maithripala Sirisena will have talks on bilateral relations but also on enhancing the existing ties that already exist between the two countries. In this regard a number of meetings have been arranged.
