PRASANNA AND HIS WIFE ARE RELEASED ON BAIL
It is reported that the Colombo magistrate courts
has ordered to release the Western Province Chief Minister Prasanna Ranathunga and his wife who are accused for a financial fraud, on bail. They were ordered to keep 2 body bails of Rs. 50,000/-as surety.
The complaint is that he has taken Rs. 50 lakhs from a businessman in Moratuwa area for fill a marshy land in Meethotamulla, Wellampitiya area and remove the unauthorized residents from the land.
The case will be summoned again on 12th October.
