It was regarding this point that the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, former Opposition leader Nimal Siripala de Silva, General Secretary of the United People's Freedom Alliance Susil Premajayanth as well as John Seneviratna and Dilan Perera and former parliament members discussed this evening with President Maithripala at length.
The President not being prepared to contest in the Alliance other than with his comrades only was a point which was subjected to debate on this occasion.
