No nominations for Dimo, Ratnasiri, Kamala and Malani

The committee appointed to offer nominations for the forthcoming parliamentary general

elections have not considered nominations for the two former Prime Ministers Ratnasiri Wickremanayake ,Dimo Jayaratne and two women Members of parliament Kamala Ranatunga and Malani Fonseka.

The two former Prime Ministers Ratnasiri Wickremanayake and D.M. Jayaratna have been appointed already as President’s senior advisors.The Member of parliament Kamala Ranatunga had expressed displeasure on her not been given nominations as she had also actively participated in the ‘bring back Mahinda’ campaign’. The name of Malani Fonseka has not been included in the National list of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance list of Members.
