MOTHER OF TWO WHO DEMANDED RANSOM FROM TRUE HUSBAND ....

THROUGH PARAMOUR PRETENDING ABDUCTION!

A wife who demanded 5 lakhs across a telephone call to her husband by her illicit lover who acted

as the ransom-seeker while she was pretending the role of a woman who was abducted was cordoned as a result of police operations.

Because of this operations an illicit association which had been continuing over a period of time in a clandestine manner was exposed. As reported, the story is as follows: The said woman, an attractive 35 year old mother of 2 children living in Hettipola area had been employed in Chilaw. During the time she was engaged as an Agricultural Insurance Assistant she had met a bachelor army soldier on an official matter and a friendship had developed between the two. Later it had turned into an illicit husband-wife intimacy of an occasional basis and she had taken leave from her duties and had gone from time to time to his house in Kahatagasdigiliya where he was supposed to be living and had even spent the day and it was said that this has been kept as a secret from everybody.

Her husband who had been a businessman did not have an inkling of an idea about this illicit affair. In the meantime her illicit lover had been pressed with a want for some money to settle a loan and he had asked it from her when she had responded saying that her husband possessed the money necessary but that it was not easy for her to get it from him. On that occasion this soldier had told her of a strategy whereby she was instructed to play the role of having been kidnapped. Accordingly the woman who left to work the morning that day instead of returning home had gone to the soldier's home and had given the phone to speak to her husband. He had spoken in a rough tone and on scaring him had said that he had abducted his wife and had demanded him to pay Rs. 5 lakhs before he would kill her. At that very moment he had said that the wife was close at hand and had handed over the phone to her. She in turn had started wailing saying, "aney ... rescue me ... when I was coming near Hettipola church these fellows came in a van and took me away".

After the husband notified about this to the police the police commenced investigations and quickly prepared telephone reports of the location from where the call originated and a special team was deployed to search about the kidnapping of the woman. According to reports obtained, the police pursued a location as if by instinct as to where the woman would be and the police were able to get at the place where both the woman and the paramour were. It was thus revealed that the story related to secure a ransom was a fake role played on the husband. In this manner the mother of two who tried to cheat her husband is presently under police custody.
