JVP NAMES ANNOUNCED FOR GENERAL ELECTIONS

ANURA FOR COLOMBO -- HANDUNNETTI FOR MATARA

VIJITHA FOR GAMPAHA -- DR. NALINDA FOR KALUTARA

A description of towns and regions of candidates contesting the forthcoming General Election from the JVP was mentioned by JVP MP Vijitha Herath yesterday. As such, JVP Leader Anura Dissanayaka would be heading the leadership for Colombo District while Lal Kantha, Lakshman Nipunaarachchi and Attorney-at-Law Sunil Watagala too will be contesting for Colombo. It was mentioned that Mr. Sunil Handunnetti will be contesting for the Matara District. Vijitha Herath, Bimal Ratnayaka and Mahinda Jaasingha will be contesting for the Gampaha District. Dr. Nalin Jayatissa has come forward for Kalutara District. Samantha Vidyaratna will be contesting for Badulla District, Nihal Galappaththi for Hambantota District, Mr. Ramalingam Chandrasekera for Jaffna District, Mr. Vasantha Samarasingha for Anuradhapura District, Gamini Ratnayaka for Kegalle District and Mr. Vasantha Piyatissa for Ampara District.
