JANAKA BANDARA WORSHIPS MAHINDA IN PUBLIC (VIDEO)

The former MP Janaka Bandara Tennakoon had approached former President Mahinda Rajapaksa
where the latter was seated and had gone on his knees and worshipped him after the former President had addressed the audience at a rally of the UPFA.

He had mentioned during his speech that he does so as a tribute. The fact that this at of worship became an amazement and an incident of unpleasantness to some people in the audience because of the hooting sound that was heard on that occasion.

Minister Rajitha at a later stage spoke of Janaka Bandara as someone who was to join in Maithripala Sirisena Presidential Election when the former was floating between the two factions of the SLFP in the past and at that time he had displayed a heartbroken attitude about Mahinda and made a speech  and had even given a clue about the split in the SLFP. Subsequently Janaka had called for a news conference asking that the Central Executive Committee be summoned having given the understanding that he was heartbroken over the speech of Maithri though he had criticised Mahinda sometime back even after having accepted a Cabinet Misister Portfolio. Later on he left his position last week and went so far as to win the attention of the media by having composed a poem to President Maithri to that effect.

Janaka Bandara Tennakoon who did not participate in 'Mahinda samaga negitinnata' as a supporter of Mahinda made the rally held in Matale his best opportunity in becoming a supporter of Mahinda once again. On that occasion he was successful in winning over Mahinda's broken heart by falling down at his feet.
