FONSEKA AGAINST MAHINDA UNDER ....
SYMBOL OF ELEPHANT .... FROM KURUNEGALA?
Field Marshal Mr. Fonseka who has signed his nominations on behalf of the Democratic Party at the General Election this time from Colombo is reported to have withdrawn that nomination and had joined hands with the UNP and is ready to contest from that Party; thus he would be contesting against his rival Mahinda Rajapaksa in Kurunegala, it is reported.
This proposal has been made to him by the United National Party and the group who entered into an alliance with them and had invited Sarath Fonseka's Party to contest with them in coalition at this General Election. As such, it is learned that Mr. Sarath Fonseka is to consider the invitation offered to him to contest from Kurunegala District and if Sarath Fonseka accedes to this request, a contest akin to one observed at the 2010 Presidential Election could be seen at the Kurunegala elections.
