SIGNS THAT SRI LANKA WILL BE FIRST COUNTRY TO PROVIDE FREE INTERNET THROUGHOUT THE DAY

A programme of Sri Lanka signing an agreement to provide internet facility via Balloons Propect
Loon of world renown Google Company was concluded today. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasingha and Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera signed an agreement with representatives of America's Google in this connection.

On the mediation of Chamath Palihawadana, born in Sri Lanka and presently engaged in America as a Computer Engineer the Google Company joined in this project and once this project is finalised, Sri Lanka would be able to boast as the first country in the world which internet facility was provided through Google for an entire country. Through this project it is believed that the internet facility could be provided free of charge or for a lesser payment.
