BMW Lady released on bail, story that she was a mental patient a hoax
The BMW lady who was remanded for the offence of driving her BMW vehicle while feeding her toddler has been give bail. She is 38
year old a mother of two,Chamila Gayani Amerasinghe who was named as the MBW lady was initially questioned by the Malabe traffic police and subsequently produced to courts.
She was remanded for hampering the duties of the traffic police personnel and for taking away police property. Although her husband had intimated to the police that she is a mental patient it was proved incorrect at the courts.
The application for bail was allowed on a body bail of rupees two lakhs surety and was instructed to report to the police every week on Fridays.
