BECAUSE OF ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Former President's brother Basil Rajapaksa who was subjected to various accusations within the Party that he
was responsible for Mahinda Rajapaksa's defeat at the last Presidential Elections is presently openly participating in Mahinda's UPFA election campaign.

It was reported that he even participated at a meeting held by public representatives of Kanthale area yesterday. Basil Rajapaksa had come for this meeting held at a hotel in Kanthale in the company of former Minister Susantha Punchi Nilame. Later, addressing the audience gathered there he had said that all development projects now at a standstill would once again be revived.
