Parliament will be dissolved tonight ....

Hint from Speaker also

It has been reported to us that that there is a strong
possibility that the present parliament would be dissolved tonight, according to information received from political sources.

Certain matters pointing to this was received during parliamentary proceedings today. A statement expressed by the Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa in this respect could be deemed vital. Anticipating a response from the Prime Minister, a question was put forward about withholding the rights and privileges due to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa under Standing Orders 23-2 according to the Constitution of the Government by leader of Mahajana Eksath Peramuna, Dinesh Gunawardena when Lakshman Kiriella stated that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasingha would be answering that question in the future. During the course of his opinions being expressed, MP Dinesh Gunawardena began to cause disturbance to him and and query whether the Prime Minister would be giving his reply tomorrow (25). At this point MPs and Ministers of the Government Party began making a commotion saying "where's parliament tomorrow?"

"Let's hand over answering the relevant question to the Prime Minister. If parliament is held tomorrow .... a reply will be received tomorrow". From this response from the Speaker his hint about parliament would have been dissolved by tomorrow was indicated. At that point MP Dinesh had provided his reply saying, "that of course is a secret known only to you".
