It was former President Mahinda and the present President Maithripala who were present on behalf of
the two parties, the couple, at the wedding ceremony of reputed gem businessman Vinil Menik owner's daughter which ceremony was held at Colombo Cinnamon Grand Hotel last evening.

On this occasion both arrived at the stipulated auspicious hour and placed their signatures. However, the present President left as soon as signing saying that he had to attend another marriage celebration and it was understood that he did not even speak a few words with the former President who happened to remained there. Whatever it is,both the former President and the present President had consented to appear for a group photograph on this occasion before leaving. 

The former President had remained there for about 45 minutes after signing at the wedding and in the process certain young girls had approached him and it was seen that they were interested in clicking Selfys with him.
