Somawansa in a ‘Protest Satyagraha’ at Independence Square

Peramuna, Somawansa Amarasinghe, has started a ‘ Protest Satyagraha’ in the Independence square premises today calling for an investigation into the activities in the form of a conspiracy that had taken place at ‘Temple Trees’ on the night of the presidential election on the 8th January.

He has insisted President Maithripala Sirisena to commence an investigation and bring those guilty to book.

The leader of the JVP Somawansa Amerasinghe had left his party and had said that he start on a new party. The reason for his leaving the party has been as the members are tilted towards the Maithripala Sirisena faction.

Very strangely now he is supporting the side of Maithripala Sirisena engaged in the fast unto death protest.
