on suspicion of murder of ruggerite!

News has circulated around that former
President's son, Yoshitha Rajapaksa and a group of others supposed to be connected to the security unit are to be taken into custody on suspicion over the death of Mohommed Wasim Thajudeen, who was a vice captain of the Sri Lankan National team.

28 year old Thajudeen living down Murugan Road, Wellawatta died as a result of a fire breaking out when inside a vehicle on May 16th 2012 close to Shalika Playground, Narahenpita. When his body was recovered on May 17th 2012 his body was found charred, stuck inside the car; however, while reports concerning the investigations were delayed, inquiries by the Narahenpita Police and the Criminal Investigation Department were at a standstill. Even the government analyst's report was received last February after the 2015 elections. As stated therein, it was stated that the death was not a case of accident related to a vehicle and that it could be suspected as homicide. The inspector-general of police has informed the CID to conduct further investigations in respect of same.

Web sites had reported sometime back that before the love affair started between former President's son Yoshitha and Hasara, Hasara has had a lliason with Wasim Thajudeen. It was also known that ruggerite Thajudeen stood out among rugger players in Sri Lanka at that time. It was said that after this sudden death Hasara had got close to Yoshitha. But when this story flared across the media what Hasara told them was that she was not even aware of a person called Thajudeen.

Since information about Wasim's murder had gone too far because of a love affair and it had come to the notice of the CID, it is understood that factors available relating to a case of possible murder, inquiries in that connection is being pursued. Information is circulating to the effect that as one of its requirements, former President's son Yoshitha Rajapaksa may be interrogated or taken into custody.
