Former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was summoned to the Bribery and Corruption unit today

morning the 11th instant to obtain a statement with regard to another complaint made against him.

This statement was recorded in connection with the Avant Garde floating armoury. The first time when he was summoned he had returned very soon saying ‘he cannot remember’. On that occasion he had a rousing reception from his loyal supporters. However on this occasion there was pin drop silence in the environment outside the premises of the Bribery and corruption unit it is reported.
