Wimal had voted for 19 with a ‘remark’
Today in parliament at 7 p.m the voting for the
passing of the 19th amendment commenced with the names of all 225 members of parliament been called.
During this phase those Sinhala Members confirmed ‘pakshai’ while in English some said ‘yes’ while in Tamil it was said ‘aami’.
However when Wimal Weerawansa’s name was called he did not say ‘pakshai’ totally. But he had said as certain amendments were rectified only he was ‘pakshai’.
What he wanted to express that it was not that easily he had agreed to say ‘pakshai’.
