New Year celebrated at Welikada prison
The Sinhala and Tamil New Year was celebrated at the Welikada prison on the 12th April for all
inmates.After the conclusion of the traditional games all inmates were given New Year gifts by the Chief Guest Hon. Minister of Justice Dr Wijedasa Rajapakse who was the Chief Guest at this event. The Minister also had very cordial dialogues with the inmates in addition to distributing new year gifts.
