Mahanayake thera of Asigiri chapter passes away at 85

The Mahanayake thera of the Siyam Nikaya of the Asgiri Chapter

Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha  thera who was taken for treatment at the Elizabeth hospital in Singapore a few days ago had passed away in the wee hours of today while been treated. He was 85 years at the time of his demise. The death is reported by members of the Asgiriya chapter.

The daham sabawa of the Asgiriya chapter have met to decide on the funeral arrangements.
