"By now the development of the entire country has come to a standstill. The economy has collapsed. There's no price for tea, rubber, paddy and gems. They said that paddy will be bought for Rs. 50 .... now paddy is bought for Rs. 28, 30. Now they say that there's no money for development. During our time of course there was money and development also. This is the difference in Yahapalanaya. Now they are stuck. If you can't carry on ... you can give us and go. We're those who did so and proved it. We know how to do it in future also".
