What artistes said after coming to meet ex-President

A group of artistes participated in a discussion yesterday at Narahenpita Abhayaramaya in or-der to
bring back ex-President Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa once more into power. Ex-President Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa too attended the occasion. Jackson Anthony, Palitha Perera, Shriyantha Mendis, Roger Seneviratna, Madhumadhava Aravinda, Neela Wickremasingha, Anusha Damayan-thi, Nilmini Tennakoon, Asoka Serasingha, Susila Kottage, Oshadi Hewamadduma and Gayesha Perera including several artistes and Sudarman Radaliyagoda who was attached to the Independ-ent Television too were present.

Ideas expressed by a number of artistes on this occasion are as follows:

Jackson Anthony: What happened here was a conspiracy. A barren course of action ... some-thing that happened without an agenda.

Neela Wickramasingha: If it's a President ... he should be like a king ... must work keeping the spine straight ... should inquire about his own country ....

Rohana Weerasingha: I am worshipping you and telling you .... at least this time ... gather the real honest people.

Susila Kottage (Dayawathi): Janadhipathithumani .... I am talking with great pain .... I am tightening myself because I can't bring out my tears ... all of us ... don't take in those who went away.
