Villages in Kahawatta had attempted to burn the private bus that killed a six year old girl

A student in year 2 just six years old studying in

Havupa Tamil Vidyalaya in Kahawatta had been knocked by a private bus on the 16th instanr when she was returnig after school at around 11.45 a.m and crossing the road along  the Andana-Kahawatta road.The student is by name Nilushika and she is a resident of the Havupa estate.

After she was knocked down and injured seriously had been taken by the viallages to the Kahawatta base hospital.But she had succumbed to her injuries before admission to the hospital.

The villages who had known about her fate had become furious and tried to set ablaze the private bus which was prevented by the intervention of the police personnel.The Kahawatta police had taken the driver of the bus in to custody and investigations are been conducted by the Kahawatta police.
