The truth of the story of Namal harassing after Mahinda lost - Sumanadasa explains
Well-known Astrologer Sumanadasa Abeygoonawardena mentioned yesterday by attending a rupavahini programme that the information
circulated about ex-President and parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa harassing him after Mahinda Rajapaksa was defeated at the elections was false.
While he explained all his stories in a contrasting manner, he said that he was aware from the year 2006 that Mahinda would lose and that the victor would be Maithri .... giving credit to the winning side. He explained this information at the Sathyagaraya Programme over the Independent Television Networks. He didn't admit that his predictions had gone wrong. Whatever it is, he mentioned at the programme that since he was spending the twilight of his life, he would not express political ideas in future.
Though there was suspicion about the victory of Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa who was there on the day that Maithipala Sirisena came forward as the Common Candidate on November 21st last year, he had refrained from letting the cat out of the bag to Mahinda. He also exclaimed with pride that before Mr. Maithripala Sirisena joined in the presidential battle the latter had come to see him about once a year and that about one-third of the members of parliament had discussed their future with him.
He also said that he would charge Rs. 5000 from a foreigner to read the horoscope and that Rs. 1500 is charged from a local. He further remarked that he was appointed to the post of Director at the National Savings Bank for a salary of Rs. 47000 and that later it was increased to 87000.
