Minister Rajitha reveals at a media confrontation yesterday

about the propaganda carried out by the media that his second son had abducted a young girl and is hiding her.

"A certain lady and another person participated at a media briefing some days ago and made a big hulabaloo saying that my second son had abducted an underaged daughter of theirs and is keeping her in our house. On making investigations I came to know that there is a certain political Party behind this. Is that child Princess Diana for her to be kidnapped by my son? This girl, last year in 2014 had left the house and come on her own because of not being able to bear the flogging she was receiving from the parents. It is so stated in the statement she has made to the National Child Protection Authority.

As far as I know these parents are in a great financial crisis with their business going bankrupt. In this connection, I am being thrown mud at for having refused to give them support by violating financial regulations. Without any moralities of media, a channel connected to the Rajapaksa family and a channel connected to the drug-business are slinging mud at me and my children. Because my son was suffering from a type of allergy from his small days, he used to sleep in the room we slept. Our children have been brought up respectably. He doesn't need to grab a girl and come. Because of the cordiality we have, we all have come to their support in moments when helpless.

I know details about the sons of each person who throw mud. What I tell Rajapaksa sons is that I know the past stories of each of those sons, but I am not uncivilised to bring those before the public.
