Many SLFP members irrespective and sans their positions will participate in joint rally in Kandy - Udaya

The leaders of the MEP,DLF,JNP and PHU have
organised their second joint rally to be held today the 06th in Kandy. It is learnt from the leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya and western Provincial council Uday Gamanpila has quipped that about 100 SLFP provincial council members are to participate despite their positions held.

The motive of the joint rally is to canvass for the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and request him to come back to politics and for him to be the Prime Minister  nominee with the support of the supporters, in the next government they intend forming.

The UPFA affiliated Mahajana Eksath Peramuna,Democratic Left Front,Jathika Nidhahas Peramuna ,Pivithuru Hela Urumaya  parties together with their respective leaders Dinesh Gunawardena,Vasudeva Nanayakkara ,Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila respectively have organised and would be the main speakers along with several SLFP provincial council members. 

This joint rally is the second in the series of meetings the joint parties intend to hold. After this meeting a series of such meetings are to be organised in Anuradhapura,Ratnapura,Kurunegala,Moneragala,Gampaha and Kandy for the same cause.
