Governor of Central Bank sent on compulsary leave
The govenor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Arjun Mahendran has
been sent on compulsory leave until the ongoing investigations which had commenced in to the alledged payment on higher rate of interest for the issue of Central Bank treasury bonds during the tenure of the former governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
In this regard the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe had made a special statement in parliament on the 17th instant.
