Full face helmet ban imposed suspended
The law that was imposed by the police under the instructions of the Minister of Law & Peace
John Amaratunga from the 21st March has been suspended temporarily. According to the Minister this has been made to get feedback on the opinion of the general public on this ban imposed.
In this connection the Inspector General of Police N.K.Illangakoon has been informed by the Minister John Amaratunga to suspend this ban temporarily until further notice. It is pertinent to mention that this ban had been imposed on an earlier occasion also and was withdrawn.
Once this law was imposed by the Minister of law and peace John Amaratunga there had been several comments made to Face Book and the You Tube against this decision to ban full face helmets.
