Fire breaks out at Unity Plaza in Bambalapitiya

A fire had broken out early this morning at Bambalapitiya Unity Plaza Building close to

Majestic City. It is learned that the fire had broken out on the 7th floor of this building where business places assembling computer accessories and government offices are found.

It is reported that since the Fire Brigade had gone into immediate action to extinguish the fire, it has been possible to prevent the fire spreading. It was also reported that because the location was a main junction providing access to Colombo and because of the vehicles used in the operations on this occasion in addition to crowds rocking the area, there had been some traffic congestion this morning in that location and in the vicinity.
