Super 8 Round which if beaten has to go home.

starts between Sri Lanka and Africa next Wednesday 

Cricket World Cup First Round which has won the attention of cricketing fans the world over concluded this evening. New Zealand, Australia, Sri
Lanka and Bangladesh were able to be placed right at the head in Pool A in the First Round while South Africa, Pakistan and the West Indies were successful in being placed in Pool B. As such, the countries that were thrown out from the tournament were England, Ireland, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Scotland and United Arab Emirates.

The next Super 8 Round would be conducted on the basis that the defeated team would be removed from the tournament and the the two beginning and last two teams and second and third two teams of Pool A and Pool B would find a place. As such, Sri Lanka who came into third position in Pool A and South Africa who won third position in Pool B would be meeting each other with bat and ball in the first match in Super 8 next Wednesday at Sydney grounds. 

In that Round, India will be competing with Bangladesh and New Zealand with the West Indies and Australia with Pakistan. The four teams chosen from that Round will enter the semi-final Round.
