We're having a fine chance - our Chief justice is still there

telephone dialogue - Sudarman Radaliyagoda

"We're having a fine chance... our Chief justice is still there!

If we inform two days before the case, okay" - Sudarman Radaliyagoda

A telephone dialogue carried on with one Ashoka in connection
with a case regarding a scrap-iron deal with a Deputy General Manager of the ITN where the latter spoke about securing the partiality of Chief Justice over the phone has been exposed.

On that occasion he says that their Chief Justice is still there and that the Chief Justice had told him over the phone to inform him just two days before about it to settle the case. It is the Chief Justice in the last government that he refers to as Chief Justice in this instance. From this serious statement it is understood to what extent the position of Chief Justice has come down.

Sudarman Radaliyagoda has personified himself as the chief of the storeroom of The Telecom and has thus sanctioned a document using his signature to two businessmen in order to secure 1828 tons of scrap-iron, on a bribe and has been charged on this deal.Though Fort Magistrate issued orders in July 2011 to take Sudarman into custody, he had spent his time in entertainment in the company of the police and in cordial relationship with them for some time and has still not been arrested. It is learned that possibly because of his political affiliations, he has been ignored by the police. Though he continuously remained at the ITN office, on the occasion when the police officer of Mirihana Fraud Bureau appeared when the case was being heard, what he said was, "Your Honour .... though the suspect was searched for where he lives and other places .. it has not been possible to find him".

This case is to be heard next February for inquiry. Even after the former government collapsed, the statement made by Sudarman giving a clue that he could make an influence on the verdict to be given on the case was exposed by Neth FM Belumgala programme last 15th in the following manner. The telephone dialogue between Ashoka who was involved in the case with Sudarman Radaliyagoda is as follows:

Ashoka: Hello .... is that Mr. Sudarman Radaliyagoda? I am Ashoka.
Sudarman: Who?
Ashoka: I am from that scrap-iron case ... you know ....
Sudarman: Ah yes .... Ashoka I couldn't identify you no .... I had saved a different number on you .... that's why.
Ashoka: What's happening now .... this case is still going on .... I want to get away from this issue.
Sudarman: That's the thing .... we'll set a plan to finish the case somehow or other ... isn't it!
Ashoka: It's you sir, who should do something .... I of course have no strength to do those things no ....
Sudarman: I have done much about it .... Ashoka, actually it is the Chief Justice who has taken up the case .... matters in the case is over to a great extent.
Ashoka: But the point is sir .... the case is still not over no.
Sudarman: No .... actually it is now at a level .... it is about to finish. Still we're having a good chance .... our Chief Justice is still there .... because it is when he was the Attorney General that this was done no.
Mr. Mo.....  Even when that change took place I informed him a couple of days back. He told me to inform him once more ... two days before. Then ... all three barricades will be freed.
