Sudarman Radaliyagoda appeared in courts yesterday

Sudarman Radaliyagoda appeared in courts yesterday regarding the case concerning the 'mud' news over Maithree - Chamila. He was the former Assistant General Manager of the ITN and the District Organiser for

Kurunegala as well. Subsequently he was remanded.

Prior to this, during the last regime he got entangled in a case where he had tried to release a stock of scrap-iron illegally by preparing false documents and though Sudarman Radaliyagoda was expected to be taken into custody by police according to law, he was on no occasion arrested and the media displayed photographs of Sudarman spending time in entertainment with higher officials of the police at that time; posing a question as to why he cannot be arrested.
