Distinguished singer passes away
Well-known singer Sisira Senaratna passed away this afternoon (04). He was in his 79th year at the time of his death at Colombo National Hospital.
Sisira Senaratna who nourished the field of music in Sri
Lanka from the 1960s was an Old Boy of Nalanda College, Colombo. He bestowed several songs such as Olu Nelum Neriya Rangala, Mage Puthuta Mal, Gaya Geethayan and Game Wel Eliye on behalf of the field of music in this country.
Popular singer Indrani Senaratna is his beloved wife.
